Hello there, I am Patricia, also known as Yuriko when in the kitchen. Late 20s, blond, short haired, biker, Romanian, Washingtonian and now a cook. I jumped off the office life ship in favor of a more artsy fartsy life style that`s gonna cost me a Saturday every week and the healthiness of my feet. But you know it`ll also give me the chance to have a portfolio - something I always envied Radu for. Oh, Radu is my husband and he is a graphic designer. He is cool.

The truth is that America was ugly to me for the first two years. The truth is that I hated how clean the metros are, fucking hated Beyonce dancing, coudln`t stand the the “Hi, how are you”s, the free napkins, and the soda refills. Like in a cheap movie you see in a DVD my becoming is complete and my heart beats like a drum when I hear ” Welcome to the United States of America”. I smile watching people of my bus seat. In a strange way this place became exactly what I needed it to become: my home. I still don`t get it yet I am opened to embracing what I am.
